Ignite Worldwide Gala
I got to talk about how I became interested in computer science and how importatnt it is to have programs such as Ignite avaiable to young girls.
Hi! I'm Priyanka Mungra. I'm a Computer Science student at the Paul G. Allen School at the University of Washington in Seattle. I’ve developed strong skills in various coding languages such as Java, Javascript, Python and more. I have also developed strong skills in Git, Linux, and full-stack web development, and I’m currently building a chatbot for Women in Tech (WIT) to support job seekers and drive real-world impact. On campus, I serve as a board officer for Women in Computing (WiC), where I help organize events and contribute to our chapter’s website. I also work with IGNITE Worldwide, to empower young women to pursue careers in STEM. One of my proudest moments was speaking at the IGNITE Gala to share my journey into tech. I have hands-on IT support experience and a growing portfolio of technical projects. I’m actively seeking opportunities in software development, project management or cybersecurity where I can bridge my passion for code and collaborating with others. Outside of tech, you’ll find me hiking local trails, exploring Seattle’s coffee scene, or enjoying a playlist of old-school music. I also love to travel and immerse myself in different cultures through their food, traditions, and stories. Let’s conect! I’m always open to new opportunities, collaborations, or just a good conversation.
